No I don't claim to understand the pain he must endure or the fatigue that he fights every day, but I am there when he goes to bed, I often watch him sleep (especially those times when he moves unknowingly), I'm there when he wakes and I plan to be there for as long as he will have me. He is my hero, as you are to your wife I'm sure. I stopped working as a nurse following a diagnosis of breast cancer in 2000 (welcome to the 21st century). That was 9 years ago this year and my life goes on. I think that one of the reasons that I remain as well as I do, is that I too wake up in the morning and feel very blessed to be this well. My job these days is to stay as well as I am able. I exercise regularly (most days), and I do yoga as much as I can (once or twice a week) I should do more but get fatigued more these days. I just feel so very lucky that I can do all that I can do, keep up your positive outlook, it will do you very well. You are blessed to have the good support of your friend and wife Gail. Cheers and good luckAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-579066173917717000.post-5963906278763650792009-03-19T15:04:00.000-07:002009-03-19T15:04:00.000-07:00Again dear Michael I would not miss your blog. I, too, have secondary progressive and use a walker. The world of MS is slightly different from our perspective, but none the less, just as trying. Every day I wake up and see the blessings that I do have. And what I can do. And take it from there.
